Twelve new startup founders have made their way to Birmingham, Alabama to grow their next chapter with Techstars EnergyTech Accelerator, a program designed for energy technology, climate innovation, and sustainability businesses.
Of the twelve of those founders, five of them are coming to The Magic City from their international hometowns. That is a big increase in Techstars EnergyTech and a big opportunity for the City of Birmingham to show off its sustainability-focused industry. (For reference, Techstars Alabama’s 2023 cohort had just one international startup). Founders from India, Spain, Mexico, and Germany will be in Birmingham for Techstars EnergyTech’s 13-week, mentorship-driven program as they are introduced to Alabama’s growing startup ecosystem.

CogniTensor (New Delhi, Delhi, India) For sustainability-focused organizations seeking to enhance ESG performance, Sustain3P is the intuitive platform that automates data management and reporting, setting new standards with its Global & Regional Emission datasets and AI-enabled insights.
Dodda AI (Seattle, Washington, United States) We leverage Ai to eliminate errors in architectural drawings to reduce building permit acquisition time and reduce downstream mistakes and omissions in construction which will lead to better execution by General Contractors and better overall building outcomes.
Edenic Energy (Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States) Edenic Energy aims to connect updated data to outdated buildings in disadvantaged communities using a Building Information Engine to address the high barriers of building retrofits and operational cost in old properties.
Eqtrade (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) We empower farmers with no business knowledge by providing a brain system, enabling them to transform their land into successful ventures and building financial strength through global agricultural trade and portfolio expansion. For buyers we inspire confidence in payments.
Mayahueltec (Santa María del Tule, Oaxaca, Mexico) We produce an agave based organic bio plastic, created from the fibrous waste product of artisanal mezcal production. Our proprietary material allows us to make a superior product at a lower cost than many of the bio and eco friendly products on the market today.
MEMPRO Materials Corporation (Cleveland, Ohio, United States) We are able to co-produce metal oxide catalysts, like iridium oxide, while also producing high-surface-area ceramic fiber supports. This technology enables us to produce green hydrogen with up-to 95% less rare-earth iridium.
Nimbus Aerospace (Seattle, Washington, United States) We make a zero emission, long range, fully electric small business jet. Our first aircraft, the N1000 carries 6 – 8 passengers, flies up to 1,100 miles, and will enter into service in 2029.
Plug Zen (Detroit, Michigan, United States) We develop and manufacture revolutionary modular EV charging solutions. Our patent pending modular system that can charge up to 10 vehicles simultaneously, wired or wirelessly.
REN3for (Houston, Texas, United States) We are working on a complete weather prediction solution designed for wind, solar, and general consumer use, complete with a customizable dashboard. It will also incorporate a battery backup system to store excess energy during unfavorable weather conditions and release it during optimal weather conditions.
Reverse Energy Solutions Corp (Chicago, Illinois, United States) We are an eco-conscious startup, revolutionizing PV module recycling. Our mobile dismantling factory cuts logistics costs by 90%, propelling RES to the forefront of sustainable PV recycling.
Soraytec (Sankt Augustin, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) Real-time IoT sensor for waveform streaming and direct measurement of power lines to facilitate detection for preventive maintenance, improving safety, resilience and efficiency.
TMA (Berlin, Berlin, Germany) At TMA, we digitize gas and chemical assets to tackle their currently inefficient management, distribution, and maintenance

Hamilton Perkins Collections (Los Angeles, CA) – HPC makes award-winning products from corporate recycled materials while producing next-generation regenerative materials for the circular economy. We are working on depolymerization and biological funneling of mixed waste plastic.

Interplay (Kansas City, MI) – Interplay is focused on easing the lives of busy pet parents with our patent pending product, the PlayTach. Marble also offers small firms and solo practitioners high-quality lead generation and ready-made intake information packages to help grow their businesses.
Pocmi Inc. (Jamaica) – Pocmi is a unique SaaS marketplace creating effortless global labor migration by bringing together selection, relocation and cultural immersion on one software platform for companies that need to find and import foreign professionals.
